Whether you’re whitewater rafting, fishing, or simply lounging on the porch and taking in the scenery, a cabin on the river is the perfect base for your trip.

  • Try whitewater rafting

Whitewater rafting is one of the most popular outdoor activities in Pigeon Forge, and for a good reason. The Pigeon River offers some of the best rapids in Tennessee for this sport.

The river is divided into two sections – the upper and lower – each offering a different experience. The upper section is known for its Class III and IV rapids, which are sure to get your heart rate racing. The lower section is calmer, with mostly Class I and II rapids, making it an excellent option for families or those new to whitewater rafting.

No matter which section you choose, you’re sure to have a blast as you navigate through the rapids. And the best part? You will be surrounded by the stunning natural beauty of the Smoky Mountains as you go.

Be sure to wear proper safety equipment and watch a few tutorials before going. This will prepare you for a more wholesome experience.

  • Try ziplining

The ziplines in Pigeon Forge take you above the trees and mountains, and offer stunning panoramic views of the region. Whichever route you choose, you’ll be sure to feel an adrenaline rush as you zip along the skies at high speeds.

And if you’re feeling particularly daring, some spots also offer nighttime ziplining, giving you a unique perspective of the Smoky Mountains under the stars.

  • Try off-roading in a jeep or ATV

If you want to get off the beaten path and explore the beautiful terrain of the Pigeon Forge, off-roading in a Jeep or ATV is the perfect activity for you. There are several off-roading trails in the Smokies and Pigeon Forge, with options ranging from guided tours to self-guided adventures.

On a guided tour, you’ll have the opportunity to explore some of the area’s most scenic spots while learning about the history and culture of the Smoky Mountains. And if you’re feeling particularly adventurous, you can even take the wheel yourself on a self-guided tour and explore undiscovered areas yourself.

  • Try skydiving in Sevierville

Are you ready to take your sense of adventure to new heights? Then skydiving in Sevierville is the perfect activity for you. Located just a short distance from Pigeon Forge, this adrenaline-pumping experience will have you soaring through the air at over 120 miles per hour.

  2. Today, I went to the beach with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is entirely off topic but I had to tell someone!
